About this project. About two years ago I worked as the content and brand strategist for Amar Textiles, a local menswear store in Bhopal, and helped develop its content strategy. The store sells to a local audience, so the strategy was built around local scenarios, with reel hooks that show how comfortable the prices are. The numbers in this case study are from the brand's Instagram account and Instagram Insights, taken from screenshots on one date.

1. The brand

Amar Textiles is a men's ethnic wear store in Bhopal. Its Instagram bio reads "Most premium and affordable men's ethnic wear in bhopal" and lists fabric, sherwani, Indo-western, suit, Jodhpuri and custom tailoring. The bio link points to the store's Google Maps listing, so the account is built to send people to the shop.

The content pattern is consistent: one presenter, filmed on the shop floor in front of the racks, holding up a garment and explaining it in a single take.

2. What the numbers show

Four reels from the account, with the figures Instagram shows for each. Insights were available for three of them.

What I read from it

Limits of this data

One snapshot on one date, three reels with insights, and a small account. The percentages are my own arithmetic (interactions divided by accounts reached) and are for comparison only. Instagram Insights does not show store visits, so none are claimed.
